Christmas Season is a time for me to reflect. As a Christian, I'm compelled to think about new birth and what the decade will bring. We all know there is darkness in the world. The headlines tell us every day and the internet shouts it hourly. We also know that the trials we go through are not unprecedented in the history of our country. But, my hope for the decade is that is that we find ways to come together as a people, and that we see through the darkness and constant conflict into new light.  As and artist, I'm compelled to think about how my art will fit in to the next decade. I know I'll continue to paint landscapes to preserve what I see disappearing. I'll continue to learn from the nature that I paint, and to learn from all who love art, and may God help me paint the extraordinary in the everyday. My best to you all in the days and years ahead.
