Autumn Swans

A pair of swans was a permanent fixture of this lake, but one Summer this male showed up without his mate.  Since they mate for life, his mate must have died during the Winter. He spent the year as a solitary, lonely swan.  The following year, he showed up with his new mate, and the cycle of life continues.
